Hameeda Bibi is 46 years old and lives in the vicinity of Latifabad in Hyderabad city. She is married to Mubeen Ahmad. After several years of their marriage, Hameeda was unable to conceive any children. She, therefore, consented for Mubeen to remarry so that he could have children. Currently, both Hameeda, and Mubeen’s second wife live together with mutual consideration. Mubeen now has three children, from his second wife; two sons and a daughter. His eldest son is 8 and goes to school, while his daughter and younger son are not of school going age. His second wife and Hameeda both look after the household and the children and live with mutual respect and understanding. On top of everything, they are also running a small grocery shop in their neighborhood.
They started this shop almost six years ago to manage their household expenses in a better way. They sell some basic household commodities and confectionaries at their store. Mubeen himself works at a private job during the day and looks after the shop in the evenings. His income from his job is 12,000 rupees per month, while the earnings from the shop reach an average of 8,000 rupees monthly. They are currently looking to expand their shop and keep a larger variety of products. They wish to increase their earnings from the store, and to do so, Hameeda has requested for a loan. from the loan amount they intend to purchase groceries like flour, rice, sugar, cooking oil and lentils etc. to increase their sales.
