There always comes a point in our lives where all our struggles, somehow, seem meaningless. Jahangir also went through a similar existential crisis a few years back. He used to work at a tailoring shop, almost five years ago. His daily income was about 200 rupees, which was just nearly enough for domestic expenditures. One dreadful morning, Jahangir lost two of his eldest sons in a horrible accident. Needless to say that he was shocked more than he was devastated. Unable to find the will to work, Jahangir was left jobless.
After losing all hope, a friend told Jahangir about Akhuwat that they helped people like him in need by providing interest-free financing for small startups. Jahangir visited the office on a mere whim, without a shred of motivation. But seeing the staff treating him with such respect and explaining the lending process in detail, Jahangir found in himself the resolve to startup a small tailoring shop. He opened the shop from the first loan i.e. 20,000 rupees. His business grew steadily and after repaying the first loan he has now requested of 25,000 rupees. He wants to expand his business and he will purchase one more sewing machine and will buy some sewing supplements. He will also hire one employee.
