Shehzadi is 42 years old and a widow. She is a seamstress by profession and works from her home to provide for her family. She and her family live in extremely poor conditions and are barely able to make ends meet. She has four children, only one of whom goes to school. Her eldest son drives a rickshaw in the city to contribute to the family’s earnings. They both collectively make only about 18,000 rupees per month.
Shehzadi stitches clothes for women in her vicinity. Mostly the fabric is provided to her by her customers but, at times, she buys the fabric and other supplies from Tando Allah yar city as well. Buying her own materials enables her to earn more profits. She, therefore, wishes to buy fabric and some stitching supplies in bulk, so as to earn more. As she lacks the appropriate resources to invest in her business, she has put forward a request for a loan. Shehzadi wants to increase her output and income to provide a satisfactory lifestyle to her family.
