Ghulam Sughra is a 39-year-old castaway widow. She has three children whom she supports all by herself. Only her eldest child goes to school currently. She supports her small clan by working as a seamstress from her home in the small town of Tandoo Allah Yar. She also gives training to local women in her area. However, her monthly earnings barely amount to 10,000 rupees per month. She and her family lives from hand to mouth on most days.
Now to improve her income, Sughra has requested for a loan. She needs 25,000 rupees to buy a sewing machine and other stitching supplies from the market in the city. She hopes that she can increase her productivity and profits and make a better sum for her family’s requirements. She wishes to give a comfortable lifestyle to her children and is willing to work harder for it.
