Ismail is a resident of Mardan where he lives with his parents and two brothers. His family was never affluent to begin with, but his father’s job as a driver paid them enough to live a comfortable life. They had sufficient savings as well. But all this went away when they started planning his elder brother’s wedding. After the wedding Ismail’s brother moved out, leaving their father as the sole earning hand. Ismail wanted to help out his father by contributing to the family’s income. But he is disabled by birth which made him less prone to getting a suitable job.
About some time ago Ismail started a small food stall, selling samosas and pakoras. He earns 10,000 rupees monthly. His living conditions are not good and he is really worried about it. He has requested for a loan of 30,000 rupees through which he will expand his stall. He will buy food items such as cooking oil, potatoes, some vegetables and spices. This will help him improve his earnings and give a better living standard to his family.
